Neha was born in Rishikesh, to Rishikesh Kakkar and Niti Kakkar. In the early days, her family struggled a lot as her father used to sell Samosas and her mother was a housewife.
They used to live in a rented one-room house. Her family moved to Delhi in the 90s and Neha started singing at the local events and gathering to get her confidence at the age of four.
She then moved to Mumbai in 2004 with her brother, Tony Kakkar, Music Director. She participated in the show “Indian Idol” at the age of 8 but was eliminated early.
