Early Life
Salman Khan was born on 27 December 1965 into a well-settled family based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and grew up there. Salman Khan’s age is 56 years as of 2021.
His father, Salim Khan is a screenwriter whose religion is Islam, and her mother, Sushila Charak, a Hindu who later changed her name to Salma Khan. Khan grew up learning the knowledge of both religions.
Khan’s father wanted him to become a cricketer but Salman always wanted to be a screenwriter following the path of his father. He even wrote scripts for some bold films like Chandramukhi and Veer.
He is the eldest of his four siblings, two brothers, and two sisters.
Salman did his early schooling at Scindia School in Gwalior and St. Stanislaus High School in Mumbai. After which he got enrolled in St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai but dropped out soon due to his lack of interest in studies.

Right after his training from Daisy Irani’s Acting Institute, He started his career from modeling and due to his brilliant skills, he became a successful model.
In 1988, Khan started his career as an actor with his debut film Biwi Ho To Aisi in which he performed a supporting role and his voice was dubbed.
After that, He struggled a lot and gave many audions for different films without using his father’s name to show a famous name’s impact on producers.
With his hard work and huge interest, he got a leading role in the film Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) which became a huge hit at that time and Salman touched the heights of fame.

Controversies
- In 1999, Salman Khan along with his co workers for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain were accused of being harming & hunting chinkara & blackbuck deer in the shooting of this film at Jodhpur, Rajasthan. A trial were taken and they found guilty on 5 April 2018 and was sentenced by Jodhpur Court to 5 years in prison under Section 51 of Wildlife Protection Act. After spending 2 nights in the prision he bailed out on 8 April 2018 by the Jodhpur Sessions court. Thiis case is known as Blackbuck hunting case (1999). [Source-1]
