What Beers Go Best with Taco Night?

Many sports lovers are aware that you don’t need to attend a live game at the stadium to enjoy the game. In reality, a lot of sports lovers prefer to watch the game at home with a bunch of their fellow sports enthusiast friends and plenty of snacks and alcohol. You get to unwind, take in the replays, and save a tonne of money while doing it.

Surcheros is our go-to Tex-Mex restaurant of choice because they serve delectable delights made with high-quality ingredients. Additionally, the alternatives are relatively inexpensive (view latest menu prices here). You may order delivery for the tacos, burritos, nachos, and quesadillas they provide.

Although they don’t have beer, it’s okay. You could just purchase your own beer. But which beer pairs best with tacos? Here are some pointers to assist you:

Western IPAs

Simpler California-style tacos like a basic carnitas taco with some salsa verde, cilantro, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice go well with this kind of beer. The West Coast IPAs have just the right amount of alcohol and hop bitterness to cut through the richness of the pig while also reviving the palate. The salsa verde and the squeeze of lemon go well together, as does the hop’s citrus taste. In fact, the IPA’s hops in some way accentuate the salsa’s heat. Read more

Try the Stone Brewing Company’s classic even though there are many more West Coast IPAs to choose from. It has a great citrus flavour. However, you can certainly pair any IPA with Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine, not only those from the West Coast. The tacos’ richness is contrasted sharply by the sharpness.

But remember that the bitterness will also bring out the heat of the spice.

Austrian Lager

A light beer might not be enough since it might not be able to stand up to a fiery salsa and it might not be able to cut through the richness of the guacamole. If you’re concerned that the beer will just overshadow the taco contents, you can use Devil’s Backbone Vienna Lager or Great Lakes’ Eliot Ness. Whether the fillings are mild or spicy, they go well with these Vienna lagers.

Although it could be challenging to locate outside of Mexico, the Negra Modelo is also a fantastic option for your Vienna beer. The slightly toasted notes in the beer go well with Beers the similarly roasted flavours in the carne asada. The caramel tastes of the beer go nicely with the carnitas’ caramelised flavours. Anglophile Bitter

Oliver’s ESB or Stoudt’s Scarlet Lady ESB are both options. They have a mild caramel flavour that blends well with the char of carne asada, the char of carne asada, and even the batter of fish taco fillings that are fried.

adams lager

Try Bell’s Amber to start. This beer pairs nicely Beers with chicken or carnitas fillings since it has a strong malt flavour. The guacamole is sufficiently offset by the hop bitterness. Additionally, cilantro and a little sweet tomato ring true.

or Porter or Brown Ale

This works well for tacos with carne asada. Try the Edmund Beers Fitzgerald from the Great Lakes; it has a roasty lager flavour that goes well with the sear on the meat. This beer is also fantastic for individuals who want the malt foundation to temper the heat of the spices.

If you genuinely want spicy tastes in your tacos, though, you may always choose a more bitter beer with more hops, such as a Vienna lager.

Dark beer Ayinger Ur-Weisse

This is only one illustration of a beer that is robust, dry, and pleasantly Beers flavorful without being too bitter. The caramelised meats match well with the beer’s caramel malt flavour, and it works well with carnitas and carne asada tacos.

Czech and German pilsners

These pilsners have the consistently strong bitterness that you’ll need to balance off the richness of greasy fried dishes. The strength of these beers is nonetheless moderate enough to prevent the taco flavours from being completely overpowered by the beer flavour. What good are delicious tacos if you’re simply going to wash the taco flavour away with every beer sip, after all?

German Weißbier

This functions similarly to a true pilsner. The avocado, pork, and bean fattiness are well Beers cut through by the ample amount of sharp carbonation that is available. But the beer will also hold up well to the heat of the salsa.

The Bavarian Weissbier would be a better option than the pilsner if your taco has heavier meats since the Weissbier yeast will provide more vibrant citrus tastes that go well with the freshly squeezed citrus juice.

Although the American Bavarian-style Weissbier like Sierra Nevada’s Kellerweis might be simpler to locate, try Kloster Andechs Weissbier Hell.
